When Should You Take Your Child's Dummie (Pacifier) Away?Today, our question comes from Crysta, and she writes, “Is it better to take the dummy (pacifier) away first, and then try to keep my son in his own bed? Or is it better to get him sleeping in his own bed, and then take the pacifier away?”

“Why does my 13 month old wake up between the hours of 2:00am and 4:00am and just needs to be patted right back to sleep? I don’t take him out of his cot but it takes a toll on me to stand over him and pat his back until he falls asleep again.”

“Help! My baby’’s one year old and does not sleep. He has a one hour nap in the morning, but then doesn’’t have another one all day. He plays all day and into the evening, and doesn’’t usually go to sleep until midnight. Then wakes up about two-ish — sometimes he’’ll settle and sometimes he doesn’’t.
